Information and transparency
Principles for responsible use, availability, and the service's limits, reflecting how AAK Legacy actually works.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you store, for correctly designating your guardians and recipients, and for keeping your Recovery Kit somewhere safe and separate from your devices.
They help confirm when the activation process should continue. They cannot read your content or decide individually; activation requires the agreement of the threshold you configure.
Each recipient receives only the content you assigned to them, never the rest of your Legacy. You decide whether they are informed now or only at the moment of delivery.
The process includes notice periods to the account holder and, if applicable, to guardians. An account holder who reappears can stop the process at any point before final delivery.
If you lose all of your authorized devices and also your Recovery Kit, the encrypted content of your Legacy will become cryptographically unrecoverable. AAK Developer does not keep a copy of your keys and holds no master key that could recover it.
AAK Legacy is a tool for organizing and passing on personal information, memories, and instructions. It does not constitute a will or any other succession instrument, it does not allocate assets, it does not appoint heirs, and it does not modify forced heirship shares or the provisions established in a valid will. To legally arrange your succession or decide how your assets are distributed, you must use the legally recognized instruments and, where applicable, seek notarial or legal advice. AAK Legacy also does not replace medical, tax, or other professional advice.
The service is provided with the reasonable availability typical of cloud infrastructure, without a guarantee of uninterrupted continuity. We may introduce changes required for technical, legal, or security reasons.
Content is encrypted on your device before it leaves it, and AAK Legacy holds no master key to read it. This also means that, without your authorized devices or your Recovery Kit, not even AAK can help you recover the content.
